Doctor finished cross-Canada run for prostate cancer research
On October 5, 2011 Coquitlam Firefighters accompanied Doctor Senft through Coquitlam along Lougheed Highway into Burnaby.Riley Senft has completed his cross-Canada run from Cape Spear to Vancouver. With pledges still to be processed, we have raised over $475,000 for the Vancouver Prostate Centre and still going.
Having made it to the Olympic Cauldron on Thursday October 6th, Riley was joined on the 7th for a victory run to Ambleside Beach, where he was celebrated by Collingwood School, his alma matter. Finally, after the 1000+ supporters departed the beach, Riley, his brother Derek and close friend Russ literally ran home - to his parents' house in West Vancouver.
While the run is complete, Step Into Action is far from over. Check back over the next few weeks for updates on how we will continue to work towards our $1 million goal and the ultimate eradication of Prostate Cancer.
