Fire Fighter Marathon Team Runs for Burn Foundation

Robert Kuhn, Strongsville, OH Local 2882 with Dale Steward, Mount Prospect, IL Local 4119 and Robert Smith, a police officer from Mount Prospect.

November 1, 2005 - More than 55 IAFF members from across the United States and Canada participated in the 30th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC on October 30, 2005, as part of the IAFF Burn Foundation Team.

The Fire Fighters Marathon team raised more than $30,000 for the IAFF Burn Foundation.

Tamara Masterson from North Vancouver, BC Local 296 finished the race in 3:42:13.


The winning time came from Robert Kuhn from Strongsville, OH Local 2882, who crossed the finish line in 3:09:00. The fastest female runner was Tamara Masterson from Coquitlam, B.C. Local 1782. She finished the race in 3:42:13. Complete marathon coverage will be published in the November-December issue of the International Fire Fighter.

Registration for the 2006 Marine Corps Marathon, to be held October 29, 2006, begins at starting in May. More details will be posted as the registration date draws closer.
